Dont Loose Track Of Your Future

Most of us lose sight of our goals from time to time. At times, the road gets too foggy to even see the path. This is one main reason few people reach the heights they desire. Seldom do we go on a trip through this amazing life we’ve been granted where the road is smooth, there are no roadblocks, and no tolls. Often, we have to pay the tolls, hit the potholes, and detour around the roadblocks. I believe that is what life is about. Life asks the question: can you keep your thoughts on the destination, and not get caught up in the journey?

Don’t lose track of your future. Don’t talk about what you don’t want. You receive what is uppermost in your mind. If you constantly complain about the situations you are in, they will most likely get worse. If you constantly look for solutions to the situations you are in, you will most likely find them. It’s that simple. Keep your eyes and thoughts constantly fixed on that which you want, and that which you want will eventually appear. It’s not usually easy, but if you constantly think about what you want and where you want to be, your chances greatly improve. Concentrate on your goals. Contemplate upon the person you want to become. Fill your mind with how you want to positively impact your life and the lives of others. Ponder what you want your life to be and, sure enough, if you keep to your plan, you will end up where you have always wanted.

I have found that by putting my future goals and aspirations into my dream journal, it is easier to remind myself of who I want to be and where I want to go. I have all of my short- and long-term goals in my dream journal. I bring my dream journal with me everywhere. When I am waiting in line somewhere, I am looking at who I want to become. When I am waiting for the dentist, I am flipping through and adding to my dreams. If I find myself early for a meeting, I am going through my short term goals and dreams and see if I am on track. One of the most powerful ways to stay motivated and hit your goals is to keep your goals and dreams always in front of you.

I hope you can keep your goals and dreams in front of you. I hope you have already made a dreams list. If you haven’t, stop what you are doing. Take thirty quick minutes and do it now. Write them in a notebook. Make that your dream journal. Always keep it with you. While I’m on a plane, before I get going for the day, or whenever I’m waiting, I’ll look through it, and think about what I have to do to live the life of my dreams. This way, my dreams and goals are constantly in front of me, and I never forget what I am working towards. I challenge you to start your own dream journal today. Keep it with you. Continually add to it. Remind yourself of your goals. Don’t forget where you are going and who you want to become. It is easier to stay on course when you continually know where you are going, and what you are working towards.

We are all so richly blessed. Don't waste what you have. Don't forget where you are going. I challenge you to develop a dream journal. What are you goals? What are your dreams? Who do you want to become? Next week, I will give you some insights on what I have in my dream journal. Life isn't about sitting by and watching, it's about knowing what you want, who you want to become, and working towards that! God Bless You!

The Most Efficient Follow-up

Here are a few helpful tips when meeting clients, collecting business cards and scheduling appointments:

#1. Business Cards are like Ice Cream, you have 24 hours to follow-up with them before they melt.
#2. WHEN FOLLOWING-UP WITH CLIENTS ALWAYS TAKE CONTROL OF THE CONVERSATION AND WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT ALWAYS OFFER TWO TIMES.... NEVER GIVE THEM THE OPTION TO SAY YES OR NO. YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO GET THE APPOINTMENT THIS WAY.
#3. OBJECTION CYCLING: WHEN FOLLOWING-UP ALWAYS SAY THINGS LIKE "I KNOW YOU ARE REALLY BUSY BUT......" THIS ELIMINATES THE OBJECTION "IM REALLY BUSY THIS WEEK." AGAIN YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO GET THE APPOINTMENT.

I HOPE THIS HELPS

Plan Your FUTURE!!!

Most people see what they want. Very few people achieve what they see. One reason for people not getting what they want in life is because they don’t know how to effectively plan out what they want in their lives. Most people get so caught up in their day-to-day activities and don’t take time to plan their future. They complain about not having time, but everybody has the same amount of time. They simply fail to plan. Napoleon said, “He who fails to plan can plan to fail.”

Remember, planning answers the question “how do I get to where I want to be?” Often, we choose to overcomplicate the planning part of our lives. We overcomplicate many things in our lives. Planning is simple. All you have to figure out is how to get from where you are to where to want to be. Sometimes it’s a difficult process, but it’s a simple idea. Where are you? Where do you want to be? Then plan a route. Just like a GPS. A GPS takes four steps. Those are the four steps in effective planning.

First, like a GPS, you need to find out where you are. Where are you in your journey? Second, you need to know where you are going. Where do you want to be? Where do you want to end up? The third step is the most difficult; setting the plan. Casting the plan. Maybe you can find somebody to help you. Somebody who has been down a similar road. The great thing about our society is we have so many ways to learn, and in ninety-nine percent of the cases, what you want to accomplish has already been completed, and documented. Design a plan you are willing to follow. The fourth is the most forgotten. Once you have started on your journey, you might have to adjust course. Very seldom do plans go exactly as expected, so we need to have the discipline to change our plans in relation to where we currently are.

I hope you can plan your future effectively. Find out where you are. Discover with clarity where you are going. The more specific, the better chances you have of getting there. Cast a plan that you are willing to work towards. The greatest plan is useless without the willingness to take action. Start moving towards your goal. It might just be a couple small steps to get it started. If you get off course, find a roadblock, or need to take a detour, find a way to get back on track, and back to the plan. Most people see what they want, if you could just keep your plan in front of you, and readjust your plan when necessary you will have a much better chance of ending up where you want to!

NEW YEAR, NEW GOALS, DIFFERENT RESULTS

As we embark on a new year, there are many things that we look forward to, and look back on. We look forward to what we can accomplish. We look back on what we have done. We look forward, excited about living out our dreams. Few of us look back on the dreams we have accomplished. We look forward to change. We look back on what we could have done differently. We look forward, hoping we can become more than what we are. We look back sometimes wishing we could have done more. We hopefully look forward with anticipation. We hopefully don’t look back with regret.

As we look back and look forward, only one thing is certain: we can’t change our past; we can only affect our future. No matter how badly we want, we can’t go back and make those calls we should have. We can’t fix the relationships we wanted to. We can’t go back and hit the goals we didn’t reach. We can’t go back and lose the weight we should have. We will never be able to go back and change our present, but we can go forward and change our future.

What are you going to do differently this year? What goals did you fall short on both personally and professionally? What dreams are you going to accomplish this year? I challenge you to pick out a couple dreams that you will accomplish in the next twelve months. They don’t have to be big dreams. Just something that will stretch you a bit. As we start this New Year, we need to concentrate more on hitting our daily goals. We all have goals. We all have goals we didn’t hit. The real question is: what are we going to do differently this year? We don’t grow without change. Change doesn’t just happen, we have to enforce it. We have to make time for it in our crazy, busy daily lives.

I hope you have goals you are excited about. I hope you can realize the differences to make this year compared to last year. We all need to make changes. In order to get different results, we need to do something differently. I once heard that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. What are you going to do differently to work on that relationship? What are you going to do differently to hit your goals this time? What are you going to do differently to lose that weight? What are you going to do differently to grow yourself as a person? Do you have a daily action plan in place? We can’t expect to change and succeed without a plan. Do you have reasons to hit your goals? We can’t expect to just set goals, and plan on being motivated. We aren’t motivated to workout, but maybe you want to meet your great-grandkids. We aren’t motivated to do the work, but maybe you want to retire at the young age of fifty. We aren’t always motivated to grow personally, but maybe you want to become a better person of influence for those around you. Make this your best year ever. Happy New Year! Set your new goals. Make your new plans. Find dozens of reasons to carry out your plans, hit your goals, get different results and live out your wildest dreams!

Clearly See Your Future

What do you want in your future? Everybody wants to be successful. The only problem is that when somebody asks what that success means, they think about it and say, “I want to make a ton of money, live in a huge house, and have expensive cars.” What does success really mean to you as a person? Leave out the material wants and desires. Material goods won’t get you to where you want to be, but success and significance will. We need to clearly see what we want if we truly want to reach our life’s goals and live our dreams. We need to clearly see our future in order to make it through life’s difficulties and mishaps.      I believe each person must paint their own person of success. For one person, it might be building an enormous business; for somebody else, it might be giving away all his or her belongings, moving across the world, and helping starving children. For one person, success might be to become the number one in sales in his or her field; for somebody else it could be raising his or her children to the best of their ability.
We all have different desires. I believe this is why we must make a dream list. Make a list of what you want to accomplish, who you want to become, what you want to learn, how you want to help others, where you want to travel. Then, you pick and choose the pieces of this puzzle and put together what success is for you personally. I want to make a difference in the lives of others through my speaking and writing. That is just a part of what success looks like to me. There are many more parts to what success is to me, including: spiritual, family, relationship, financial, and health to name a few. What is your picture? What areas of your life mean the most to you? Can you see it? Can you dream it?
I hope you can clearly see your future. If you can clearly see what you want, the process is insignificant. If you clearly see what you want, the biggest obstacles only seem like speed bumps. If you clearly see your future, the fears and failures seem much smaller. If you clearly see your future, you will put in the work, you will make the changes, and you will build the habits to have the success you desire. Clearly seeing your future is a great way to help keep yourself on track. Sometimes the path is muddy, slippery, foggy and difficult. Sometimes you might not be able to see the end of the road even if you squint and strain your eyes. Close your eyes, imagine what the future will hold for your when you succeed (not if but when you succeed). Clearly see your future, and no matter what the struggles, you will make it there!

Reinvent yourself - a Fact ABOUT SIMON COWELL's BIZ

Reinvent yourself in your business

During a 60 Minutes TV interview, Simon Cowell was asked if he created American Idol in order to gain celebrity status. In other words was Simon's goal to become famous?
Simon answered that he didn't really care about being a celebrity. He created American Idol simply to sell records for his record company - Sony BMG. By having a singing competition on TV, he would be able to sign great singers before they made it big. This would allow him to lock in guaranteed future stars for less money. He would also have exclusive rights to their songs throughout the entire American Idol process. Simon's business plan was so powerful that he has sold over 100,000,000 records in the last 4 or 5 years. Every time an American Idol artist sells a song or record, Simon's record company makes money. American Idol is now on TV in 30 countries. Each year, he signs the biggest stars in 30 different countries.
What did Simon really do? He did the opposite of what all the other record companies were doing. The majority of the record companies spend their time and resources trying to recruit top selling artists away from their competitors. Not Simon. He created a new business "in front of" the record business. The new business, American Idol, funnels signed artist after signed artist to his record company. In fact, he doesn't waste anytime trying to recruit artists away from his competition. He isn't even competing with them anymore. He figured out how to attract future starts to him through American Idol.
Simon has completely re-invented the record business.
What can YOU put "IN FRONT OF" your business???
